Are you willing to help a new fundraising professional? If so, you will want to be a part of the AFP Mentoring Program.  AFP is seeking seasoned fundraising professionals to serve as a mentor to AFP members who are new to the field.  Mentors will need to have worked in development for five years or more; be a current member of AFP and willing to commit to mentoring a new professional for one year.

Mentor responsibilities will include:

1. Be able to meet monthly in person or by phone with their mentee.
2. Attend at least two AFP programs or events with their Mentee during the year.
3. Be available by phone or email to answer questions or provide advice.
4. Encourage their mentee to attend AFP events as their budget and schedule allow.

I assure you that you will receive as much if not more benefit from this program. It will be rewarding to help a new professional grow and learn from you. We hope you will consider sharing your experience and knowledge with others.
